GOALS AND OBJECTIVES
The Postgraduate Diploma in Innovative Design at FEDISA is an advanced programme aimed at developing critical thinking and specialised design practice within a chosen area of focus.
The programme equips students to operate as independent creative professionals, strengthening their ability to manage complex design processes through research-led practice and application.
Emphasis is placed on advancing conceptual, technical, and research skills through experimentation and innovation, enabling students to develop impactful design solutions that respond to contemporary industry challenges.
Students develop an understanding of design as an interconnected system, while engaging with emerging tools, technologies, and global industry contexts that are shaping the future of the creative industries.
Graduates are prepared for advanced-level participation in the fashion and design industry, as well as progression to further postgraduate study.

THE STRUCTURE
The programme is delivered across two semesters, combining research, critical inquiry, and studio-based practice. All modules are compulsory.

DEVELOPMENT
Applies research to practice through experimental design processes. Students explore materials,

Focuses on experimental and technology-driven design approaches. Students engage in self-directed, studio-based research supported by mentorship, contributing to their final project.

RESEARCH & DESIGN PORTFOLIO
A supervised research project that integrates insights from across the programme. Students produce a mini-dissertation informed by both theoretical engagement and applied industry research.
