GOALS AND OBJECTIVES
The Bachelor of Arts Honours in Fashion at FEDISA is a postgraduate programme focused on developing advanced research, analytical and critical thinking skills within the fashion context.
The programme prepares students to engage with fashion as a complex system shaped by social, cultural, economic, and industry dynamics. Through a structured research process, students develop the ability to interrogate key issues across the fashion value chain and translate insights into informed, contextually relevant outcomes.
Emphasis is placed on independent research, critical analysis, and the application of theory to industry contexts. Students are equipped to contribute meaningfully to the fashion sector or to progress into higher-level academic research.
Graduates are prepared for advanced roles within the fashion industry, as well as further study at Master’s and Doctoral levels.

THE STRUCTURE
The programme is structured around research-led modules that engage the fashion value chain, culminating in a mini-dissertation. All modules are compulsory.

FASHION
MARKETING
Investigates the role of cultural and social dynamics in shaping fashion communication, branding, and consumer engagement.

WORK INTEGRATED
LEARNING
Students undertake industry-based research aligned to their area of inquiry, applying academic methods within a professional context to support their final research output.

MINI-DISSERTATION
A supervised research project that integrates insights from across the programme. Students produce a mini-dissertation informed by both theoretical engagement and applied industry research.
