POSITION OVERVIEW
The ideal candidate is a creative thinker with an interest in fashion, social media, and storytelling. The role would be to create engaging and administer relevant social media content that supports FEDISA’s overall marketing objectives, particularly the recruitment of new and prospective students, through platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and LinkedIn. This individual would be to assist in the creation of social media plans, they will receive monthly goals from their manager.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Propose social media content ideas that align with and support the organization's marketing objectives.

Assist marketing team with social media design work if required.

Monitor competition, prospects, and students to generate relevant and actionable insights that help build the business

Plan, implement and execute the social media strategy

Increase brand awareness and traffic across social platforms through content development and curation

Benchmark, analyse and review social media targets and goals

Monitor social media trends and keep abreast of market changes in relation to the Higher Education industry

Interact and network on all relevant forms of social media

Ensure brand messages are consistent throughout all communication platforms

Prepare analytical reporting for all social media activity

Day-to-day management of social media platforms

Ensure brand messages are consistent on all platforms

Complete adhoc administrative tasks/ duties

Using social media for lead generation
REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (marketing, social media, digital marketing, communications, etc.)

2 years of experience in marketing, communications, media or public relations, with a strong emphasis on digital/social media
-
Professional understanding of platforms including, but not limited to, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and other emerging channels

Knowledge of social media analytic platforms and production tools, and best practices
-
Has excellent writing, speaking and editing skills, including the ability to effectively communicate complex and technical information to different audiences

Exceptional writing skills (writing samples and/or writing test may be required)

Strong knowledge around content writing for social platforms as well as other digital platforms i.e. Jivo chat, website, etc
