FEDISA Fashion School is hiring a Clothing Technology Lecturer for our Sandton Campus!
Are you ready to infuse your technical expertise into an exciting role in the world of clothing technology? We're on the lookout for an experienced Lecturer in Clothing Technology to lead the way!
As a Lecturer Clothing Technology, your Core Purpose is to provide advanced Academic Leadership across undergraduate programmes in the competencies of: Pattern Drafting, Technical Drawing, Apparel Construction and Textile Technology.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
- Advanced pattern making skills and advanced garment construction skills (portfolio of work required)
- A strong understanding of textiles and technical drawings
- Creative and critical thinking skills along with research capabilities (academic, trend, conceptual) is essential.
Qualification and Requirements:
- Post Graduate Diploma or Masters Degree in Fashion or a subject related field.
- A minimum of 3 years relevant experience in the Fashion context
- Fashion design process knowledge and experience alongside creative and critical thinking skills is essential.

CORE FUNCTIONS
- Facilitate contact and online (blended) lectures
- Develop, review & moderate curriculum & assessments
- Grade assessments & provide feedback
- Undertake programme & quality assurance administrative tasks
- Provide Academic consultation support to students
- Active involvement in student retention & acquisition
