FEDISA is pleased to formally welcome Ms Renée Jain to the FEDISA Academic Advisory Council where she will hold the portfolio of Information Technology Systems.

With 20 years of Retail and IT experience, Ms Jain is currently the Supply Chain Systems Manager at Ackermans, a value retailer and stockist of affordable family clothing in South Africa. She manages all IT systems across the Product Life Cycle from Product and Merchandise Planning, Assorting, Sourcing, Purchasing, Shipping, Warehousing and Distribution to Stores. She also manages Business Intelligence across these verticals in the Value Chain, ensuring full end-to-end visibility of the entire life cycle of the stock. She is responsible for articulating and delivering the IT Roadmap for Ackermans.

Having been both an IT Manager and Central Planning Manager for Ackermans, she has a unique blend of both IT and business knowledge giving her a 360 degree perspective on process and applications and how they can best work together to deliver business value, in the challenge of an ever changing retail environment.

Renée was previously an IT Manager at New Clicks South Africa (Pty) Limited, a retail-led healthcare group. She was also an Implementation Consultant at Care Business Solutions, a CRM software company in the UK.

We look forward to her continued contributions to ensuring that FEDISA remains at the forefront of the latest cutting edge technology systems applicable to the fashion and design industry, the institution and its students and staff.
